Your rights: cancellation and transfer
You may find it helpful to know:
• You usually have a 14‑day cooling‑off period when signing a No Win No Fee agreement away from a solicitor’s office.
• During this period, you can cancel without needing to give a reason.
• After 14 days, you still have the right to transfer your case to another solicitor at any stage, without losing progress.
• Switching solicitor does not mean starting again — your new solicitor simply requests your file and continues the case.
• These rights exist to give you choice, control and confidence.
